Toyota is known as one of the best automakers in India. However, it is slightly underrated (especially in the small car range) despite having a powerful line-up. There are some Toyota cars that are doing well in terms of sales.

Toyota Innova Crysta

The Toyota Innova Crysta was launched in India way back in 2016 and is the successor of the previous Innova. It is offered with two different engine variants. The 2.4-litre, four-cylinder pushes out a maximum power of 150 PS and the peak torque stays at 343 Nm.

On the other hand, the 2.8-litre, four-cylinder oil-burner produces up to 174 PS of power and the peak torque sticks at 360 Nm.

Toyota Fortuner

The Toyota Fortuner is one of the beauties from the Japanese manufacturer and has been doing well in the Indian market. The SUV roles on 17-inch alloy wheels that are wrapped in 265 tubeless tyres.

It derives its power from the 2.8-litre oil-burner that can make a maximum of 174 bhp power along with 450 Nm of peak torque. The drive is sent to the wheels via a 6-speed manual or the 6-speed automatic transmission.

The vehicle is also available in a petrol guise too, which is capable of thrusting out up to 164 bhp of power and the peak torque sticks at 245 Nm. It comes mated to either a six-speed automatic or a five-speed manual gearbox.

Speaking of the brakes, ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) with EBD (Electronic Brake-Force Distribution) and the BA (Brake Assist) are given too. The dual SRS airbags are standard in the SUV.

Toyota Yaris

The Toyota Yaris is one of the newest entrants into the C-segment sedan space. The design is pretty much identical to the larger Corolla, especially the front end.

It is equipped with a 1.5-litre four-cylinder, dual VVTi petrol mill, which offers a maximum power of 106 bhp at just 6,000 rpm, while the peak torque is 140 Nm at 4,200 rpm. There is either a 7-speed automatic or 6-speed manual gearbox to handle the transmission duties.

The sedan comes with seven airbags, ABS, EBD and Electronic Stability Programme (ESP).

Conclusion

The Toyota Innova Crysta comes at a starting price tag of around Rs. 14.75 lakhs while the Fortuner is quite on the expensive with a starting price tag of around Rs. 27.25 lakhs. The Yaris is priced at around Rs. 9.25 lakhs.
