Kitwe DC notifies residents of intensified patrols

Timothy

In our quest to address the insecurities in our city, a combined team of officers from the Zambia army as well as Zambia Police have intensified patrols in all the communities here in Kitwe both during the day and night times.

Note that during the patrols, the officers will stop anyone and question anyone including those driving who may be stopped and searched.

We there would like to urge you our residents to comply as officers in times like these may not be in compromising moods and any resistance may inconvenience you.

Note further especially those of you who have unregistered cars must make sure you have your cars registered as you may be inconvenienced.

Lastly, we would like to appeal to our residents to avoid moving with objects that may be suspected to be tools meant to be used in crime.

We there wish to assure the members of the public that we will do everything possible to bring back the peace and bring to book all the criminals who are on mission to destabilise our cities.

Further note that those who are part of CCPU’s must always rehearse with the police if you are to undertake any security activities.

Kindly do not take the law in your hands, hand over any suspects to the police as the police are not very far away from where you are.

Be assured that peace will return in no more time as our officers are leaving no stone unturned.

Binwell Mpundu
Kitwe District Commissioner
