A pair of Okanagan University students designed it to the podium at the Skills Canada National Competitiveness in Vancouver.

Owen Davis and Joey Bruno won gold and silver in their respective competitions. Davis, a pupil in OC’s Aircraft Upkeep Technician software, gained gold in the Aerospace Technologies level of competition and Bruno a 3rd-12 months apprentice in the Vehicle Overall body and Collision Technician software, won silver in Automotive Collision Restore.

Both equally learners also gained gold medals at Skills Canada Provincial competitions and Davis is just happy he didn’t have to depart the Okanagan to get his schooling.

“I carefully delight in my academics,” Davis says. “They are constantly ready to enable you out.”

Bruno is previously functioning at a collision fix shop in Abbotsford, he credits OC for serving to build his competencies and get the job done ethic.

“Coming to Okanagan College was the correct decision,” Bruno claims. “The instructors are excellent, in particular at fingers-on educating.”
